Rep. Sharice Davids, U.S. Congresswoman representing Kansas’s 3rd district since 2019, posted a series of tweets between May 4 and May 5, 2026, addressing topics ranging from art to reproductive rights and cultural celebrations.
On May 4, Davids shared an article by Olivia Wang, stating: “Olivia Wang’s piece, ‘NOT a Collage: My Pieces.’ https://t.co/DgJVyfPKgp”.
The following day, she commented on a Supreme Court case concerning medication abortion access. On May 5, Davids wrote: “Yesterday, I joined 250+ colleagues in urging SCOTUS to overturn an extreme ruling that would restrict access to safe, effective medication abortion. We must protect science-based decisions and keep politicians or courts out of people’s health care.”
Later the same day, Davids marked Cinco de Mayo with a message celebrating Mexican American contributions: “¡Feliz Cinco de Mayo! Today, we celebrate the resilience, culture, and contributions of Mexican Americans who continue to shape our communities every day. https://t.co/HAAcrl1RDJ”
Sharice Davids was born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980 and currently resides in Roeland Park. She earned her BA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2007 and her JD from Cornell University in 2010. She replaced Kevin Yoder as representative for Kansas’s 3rd district beginning with the 2019 term.
