U.S. Representative Sharice Davids, who represents Kansas’ 3rd district in Congress, has recently commented on issues affecting Kansas ranchers and farmers as well as local business engagement in Washington, D.C.

On April 15, 2026, Davids criticized federal support for foreign beef producers, stating: “Bailing out Argentine beef producers at the expense of hardworking Kansas ranchers is plain wrong.”

Later that day, she highlighted her meeting with members of the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce during their visit to Washington: “Great to see @kcchamber in DC yesterday — always good to catch up with folks from back home. Big things ahead for KC!”

On April 16, 2026, Davids addressed challenges facing Kansas farmers due to international conflict: “Spring planting is here, but rising fertilizer costs are hitting farmers hard because of the war in Iran. Kansas farmers deserve better.”

Sharice Davids has served in Congress since 2019 after replacing Kevin Yoder. She was born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980 and currently resides in Roeland Park. Davids graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a BA and earned a JD from Cornell University.
