U.S. Representative Sharice Davids, who serves Kansas’ 3rd district in Congress, has used her social media platform to address concerns about federal funding cuts and healthcare policy, while highlighting legislative efforts aimed at protecting Kansans.
On July 15, 2025, Davids posted on X: “National Heritage Areas preserve our history AND drive local economies through tourism and jobs. But recent federal cuts are putting that at risk. I’m standing with Kansans working to keep these sites thriving.”
The following day, she criticized the Trump Administration’s budget proposal, writing on July 16: “The Trump Administration’s extreme budget will force hospitals to close and put entire communities at risk. I voted NO and am fighting back because Kansans shouldn’t lose their hospitals, jobs, or economic stability to reckless politics.”
Later on July 16, Davids referenced bipartisan legislation she helped pass: “No one should worry that seeking emergency medical attention will lead to unexpected financial ruin. Thanks to my bipartisan law, millions of surprise medical bills have been stopped, saving families money when it matters most.”
Sharice Davids has represented Kansas’s 3rd District since 2019 after replacing Kevin Yoder in Congress. She was born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980 and currently resides in Roeland Park. Davids holds a BA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a JD from Cornell University.
