U.S. Representative Sharice Davids, who represents Kansas’ 3rd district in Congress, has recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing healthcare access, economic policy, and civil rights.

On April 18, 2026, Davids wrote: “I’m fighting back against politicians who want to get between you and your doctor.”

The following day, she commented on the impact of tariffs on American families and wealth inequality. On April 19, 2026, she stated: “Families are paying $2,500 extra this year because of reckless tariffs, all while billionaires get richer. That’s outrageous. I voted to end these policies that are raising costs for hardworking folks.”

Later the same day, Davids shared details about a meeting with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). She posted: “Met with the ACLU to talk about protecting the basic rights that matter to every Kansan: fair treatment under the law, privacy, and personal freedoms.”

Sharice Davids has served in Congress since 2019 after replacing Kevin Yoder as representative for Kansas’s 3rd district. Born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980 and currently residing in Roeland Park at age 42, Davids holds a BA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (2007) and a JD from Cornell University (2010).
