Later that day, she highlighted concerns about federal employees affected by the shutdown, stating: “Air traffic controllers like Stephanie’s husband are already stretched thin. A government shutdown only adds stress — and uncertainty about their next paycheck. Sharice Davids has represented Kansas’s 3rd District in Congress since succeeding Kevin Yoder in 2019. She was born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980 and currently resides in Roeland Park. Davids holds a BA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (2007) and a JD from Cornell University (2010).
