U.S. Representative Sharice Davids, who serves Kansas’ 3rd district, addressed a range of issues affecting her constituents in a series of posts on August 19, 2025, including infrastructure investment, early childhood education, and disaster relief.

On August 19, Davids wrote about the state’s infrastructure needs: “Kansas infrastructure needs some attention. Read about how I’m working to bring dollars back to our state to make commutes faster and drives safer https://t.co/o5XK1mHQbc”.

Later that day, she highlighted her support for Head Start programs after visiting the Family Conservancy: “Affordable Head Start supports kids’ growth and helps parents work and provide for their families. Proud to see it in action at the Family Conservancy. https://t.co/WW7XYMaXw2”.

In another post from August 19, Davids described efforts by Kansas lawmakers following severe weather events: “Severe storms and flooding hit Kansas hard this summer. Our entire bipartisan delegation joined in urging the President to approve @GovLauraKelly’s disaster request so communities get the help they need. https://t.co/5tm0bbcNmR”.

Sharice Davids has represented Kansas’s 3rd District in Congress since 2019, succeeding Kevin Yoder. She was born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980 and resides in Roeland Park. Davids earned her BA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2007 and received a JD from Cornell University in 2010.
