Sharice Davids, U.S. Representative for Kansas’ 3rd district since 2019, has recently used her social media platform to address a series of issues affecting her constituents and the broader national community.

On September 4, 2025, Davids highlighted concerns about missing data crucial to addressing the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Peoples crisis. She stated, “Crucial data to combat the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Peoples crisis has disappeared — and that’s unacceptable. Families deserve answers, and law enforcement needs every tool to deliver justice. I’m demanding this information be restored immediately.”

The following day, on September 5, 2025, Davids commented on congressional ethics reforms. She wrote, “I pushed back against my own party’s leaders to stop congressional pay raises and insider stock trading by members of Congress. You deserve leaders that work for you, not for themselves or special interests.”

Continuing her advocacy on healthcare policy on September 6, 2025, Davids addressed proposed federal budget cuts. She said, “The extreme Republican budget slashes Medicaid, putting 79,000 Kansans at risk of losing health care. I’ll keep fighting to protect and expand Medicaid so families can get the care they need.”

Sharice Davids has served in Congress since defeating Kevin Yoder in 2019 as the representative of Kansas’s 3rd District. Born in Frankfurt in 1980 and currently residing in Roeland Park, she holds degrees from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (BA) and Cornell University (JD).
