Rep. Sharice Davids, who represents Kansas’ 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, recently used her social media platform to address issues ranging from preparations for the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Kansas City to concerns about air travel and gas prices.
On October 11, 2025, Davids posted about efforts to prepare Kansas City for the global sporting event: “Proud to partner with @RepCleaver to make sure Kansas City has the tools it needs to host a safe, successful @FIFAWorldCup for everyone who comes to experience all our city has to offer.”
The following day, on October 12, she highlighted support for aviation workers during periods of government uncertainty: “All Kansans deserve access to safe, reliable air travel — no matter what’s going on in Washington. I’m supporting a bill that would ensure aviation employees are paid during a government shutdown.”
Later that day, Davids commented on fuel costs: “Gas prices are too high — I feel it, you feel it. I’m working to bring costs down at the pump and keep more money in Kansans’ pockets.”
Sharice Davids has served as the U.S. Representative for Kansas’s 3rd District since replacing Kevin Yoder in 2019. She was born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980 and resides in Roeland Park. Davids holds a BA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and earned her JD from Cornell University.
