U.S. Representative Sharice Davids, who has served Kansas’s 3rd district in Congress since 2019, announced recent legislative efforts through a series of social media posts on April 15, 2026. Davids highlighted the passage of her bipartisan ALERT Act and introduced new legislation aimed at reforming Social Security rules.

In a post dated April 15, 2026, Davids wrote: “The House just passed my bipartisan ALERT Act. It’s a big step to strengthen aviation safety after the tragic plane collision that took 67 lives, including Kansans. I’m grateful to the victims’ families who help shape this work. We’re not done yet — I’ll keep working to get a”.

Later that day, she addressed concerns about federal regulations affecting vulnerable populations in Kansas: “In Kansas, we look out for each other. But federal rules can punish seniors and people with disabilities for receiving food or housing from family. Today, @RepMGS and I are introducing a bill to fix this outdated Social Security rule.” She followed up with an additional post providing more information: “Read more about it here: https://t.co/FlHxgv0mw9”.

Sharice Davids succeeded Kevin Yoder as the representative for Kansas’s 3rd congressional district in 2019 and has maintained her seat since then. Born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980, Davids currently resides in Roeland Park at age 42. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City earned in 2007 and a Juris Doctor from Cornell University obtained in 2010.
