U.S. Representative Sharice Davids, who serves Kansas’s 3rd district in Congress, has recently highlighted key issues affecting Kansans through a series of posts on social media.
On October 30, 2025, Davids wrote about her recent meeting with local agricultural stakeholders: “Met with crop insurance folks to talk about protecting Kansas farmers. Crop insurance helps farmers recover from bad weather or other losses — keeping affordable food on our tables and family farms in business.”
Later the same day, she addressed the ongoing government shutdown’s impact on workers in critical industries: “This zero-dollar paystub says it all. It’s time to reopen the government and pay the aviation workers who keep us safe.”
On October 31, Davids turned attention to health care costs as open enrollment for the Affordable Care Act was set to begin: “ACA open enrollment begins tomorrow, and Kansans will either see their health care costs more than double or lose coverage entirely. Pricing folks out of their health care is unacceptable, and it’s why I’m still fighting to protect the tax credits that keep costs down.”
Sharice Davids has represented Kansas’s 3rd District in Congress since 2019 after succeeding Kevin Yoder. She was born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980 and currently resides in Roeland Park. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (2007) and a Juris Doctor from Cornell University (2010).
