Rep. Sharice Davids, who represents Kansas’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, has recently posted a series of updates on her social media platform, highlighting key events and initiatives at both local and national levels.
On November 1, 2025, Davids announced the start of the Affordable Care Act Open Enrollment period, stating: “The ACA Open Enrollment period begins TODAY! To explore your options, visit https://t.co/jQjAprE7lg now until January 15.”
Later that day, she recognized National Disability Employment Awareness Month at a local business in Overland Park: “Wrapping up National Disability Employment Awareness Month at the Golden Scoop in OP! Proud to highlight the bipartisan work I’m doing to make sure all Kansans have the chance to build a future they can be proud of. https://t.co/59copHCWTY” This event underscores her commitment to supporting employment opportunities for people with disabilities in Kansas.
On November 2, 2025, Davids marked Native American Heritage Month with a statement on her heritage and advocacy efforts: “November marks #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth — a time to honor the history, culture, and contributions of Native peoples. I’m honored to serve in Congress as a Native woman and to help uplift the voices of Tribal Nations across the country.”
Sharice Davids has served in Congress since 2019 after replacing Kevin Yoder. She is one of the first Native American women elected to Congress and currently resides in Roeland Park. Born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980, Davids holds degrees from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (BA) and Cornell University (JD).
