Rep. Sharice Davids, U.S. Congresswoman representing Kansas’s 3rd district since 2019, recently highlighted her legislative and community activities through a series of posts on her official Twitter account.

On July 29, 2025, Davids announced the introduction of new legislation aimed at supporting workers with disabilities. In her post, she stated: “Everyone deserves the freedom and stability that comes with a good job. That’s why I introduced a bill last week to make sure workers with disabilities can save for their future — without losing access to the programs they rely on.”

The following day, July 30, Davids addressed recent federal action against opioid abuse. She wrote: “President Trump recently signed the HALT Fentanyl Act into law — a bipartisan bill I proudly voted for. It’s a real step toward saving lives and stopping the spread of deadly opioids.”

Later that same day, Davids shared her engagement with local education leaders in Kansas. She posted: “Great to meet @jccctweets’ new president, Dr. Miksa! As a proud JCCC alum, I’m excited to see the college’s future in such capable hands.”

Sharice Davids has served in Congress since defeating Kevin Yoder in 2019 and is known for her focus on issues impacting Kansans.
She was born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980 and currently resides in Roeland Park.
Davids graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2007 and earned her JD from Cornell University in 2010.
