U.S. Representative Sharice Davids, who has served Kansas’s 3rd district since 2019, recently highlighted her ongoing work and community involvement in a series of posts on social media.
On May 1, 2026, Davids marked International Workers’ Day with a brief message to her constituents: “Happy International Workers’ Day, #KS03!”
Later that same day, she announced her role as honorary co-chair for the Renew Democracy Fellows program, stating: “Proud to serve as honorary co-chair of the Renew Democracy Fellows. They’re young leaders from diverse backgrounds, many first-gen college students, stepping up to strengthen our democracy. The future is in good hands!” This program brings together young leaders aiming to support democratic values.
On May 2, 2026, Davids posted about supporting educators after meeting with the Kansas National Education Association: “Students do better when teachers are supported. I met with @kneanews to talk about strengthening our schools and giving educators the tools they need.”
Sharice Davids has represented Kansas’s 3rd District in Congress since defeating Kevin Yoder in 2019. She was born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980 and resides in Roeland Park. Davids holds a BA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (2007) and earned a JD from Cornell University (2010).
