U.S. Representative Sharice Davids, who has represented Kansas’s 3rd district in Congress since 2019, recently highlighted local initiatives and community priorities through a series of posts on her social media account.
On February 8, 2026, Davids posted about a meeting with the mayor of Ottawa, Kansas: “Great meeting with @Ottawaksgov Mayor Clayton. Excited about what’s ahead for Ottawa and Franklin County!”
Later that day, she recognized the work of a local advocacy group focused on children’s welfare. In her post from February 8, 2026, Davids wrote: “Kids deserve safety, healing, and a voice. Ad Astra Advocacy Center makes it happen. #KS03 is lucky to have you.”
The following day, on February 9, 2026, Davids addressed labor issues in Kansas: “Kansas workers power our communities. They deserve fair pay, safe jobs, and a seat at the table.”
Sharice Davids was born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980 and currently resides in Roeland Park. She holds a BA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (2007) and earned her JD from Cornell University in 2010. She succeeded Kevin Yoder as representative for Kansas’s 3rd District after the 2018 election cycle.
