Sharice Davids, a U.S. Congress member representing Kansas’ 3rd district since 2019, has been actively engaging in legislative and community matters as evidenced by her recent tweets. Davids, who replaced Kevin Yoder, continues to focus on bipartisan efforts and local partnerships to address key issues.

On June 5, 2025, Rep. Sharice Davids announced the passage of her third bipartisan bill this year. The CAREER Act aims to assist individuals in recovery with re-entering the workforce and achieving independent living. She expressed gratitude for the bipartisan support received for this initiative. “My third bipartisan bill to pass Congress this year is the CAREER Act — helping folks in recovery get back to work and live independently.”

Later that day, Davids highlighted a meeting with @kansasapple concerning healthcare access and emergency food assistance. This partnership is intended to enhance security for Kansans through collaborative efforts. “Great meeting with @kansasapple to talk about protecting access to health care and emergency food assistance.”

On June 6, 2025, she shared insights from a discussion with the Kansas Livestock Association emphasizing the global impact of Kansas farmers. Davids underscored the importance of passing a bipartisan Farm Bill that supports these agricultural stakeholders effectively. “Another great conversation with KS Livestock Association! Kansas farmers don’t just feed the country — they feed the world.”

Sharice Davids was born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980 and resides in Roeland Park. She graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a BA in 2007 and earned a JD from Cornell University in 2010.
