Sharice Davids, U.S. Congresswoman representing Kansas’s 3rd district since 2019, recently used her social media platform to highlight support for local agriculture, American workers, and educational opportunities for students in her district.
On May 2, Davids posted: “The farmers and ranchers in #KS03 don’t just feed us here at home — they feed the world. And I’ll always have their back.”
Later that day, she addressed labor standards and domestic manufacturing with the statement: “American workers shouldn’t be forced to compete against foreign companies that cut corners on wages and labor standards. ‘Made in America’ has to mean something.” (May 2).
On May 3, Davids turned her attention to youth engagement with a message about service academy nominations: “One of my favorite parts of this job is nominating students to our nation’s service academies. If you’re a #KS03 high school student interested in applying, my team is hosting a Q&A to walk through the process and answer your questions.”
Davids has represented Kansas’s 3rd District since defeating Kevin Yoder in 2019. She was born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980 and currently resides in Roeland Park. Davids holds a BA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (2007) and a JD from Cornell University (2010).
