Cost of college was unchanged for all students at Johnson County Community College

In-state tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at Johnson County Community College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Kansas residents paid $3,300 to attend the two-year public institution in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Non-residents paid 100 percent more than residents this year, or $6,600. Their price tag was unchanged from $6,600 in 2017-18.

About 89 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Kansas residents. About 7 percent are residents of other states and 1 percent are citizens of other countries.

Data shows 65 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 808 students received grants or scholarships totaling $3.2 million and 317 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.2 million.

Including all undergraduates (18,373), 5,226 students used grants or scholarships totaling $14.5 million, and 1,945 students took out $8.1 million in federal student loans.
