A new Ace Hardware store is celebrating its grand opening this weekend in Overland Park, Kansas.
A ceremonial "board cutting" marked the opening of the 23,000-square-foot Westlake Ace Hardware store at 11200 Antioch Road in Overland Park, Kansas.
The store will be open to customers Friday and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
On both Friday and Saturday, the store will hold a 20% Off Grand Opening Celebration Sale. A grand opening celebration will commence on Saturday, July 23, beginning at 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Westlake Ace Hardware will have grill demonstrations, free kids’ activities and an ice cream truck.
The store is hosting sales, food samples and giveaways as part of its celebration. The giveaways are limited to one entry per household. Items available as prizes include the Room Makeover Box, which consists of $100 gift card, paintbrush, paint tool, booklet and "Ben Moore Swag;" a Weber Spirit Grill E-210, a Milwaukee Hammer Drill and Impact Driver Kit, and the EGO Power Plus Battery String Trimmer. Westlake Ace Hardware is also offering the special of $10 off any purchase during its grand opening weekend.
Other name brands that Westlake Ace Hardware carries are DeWalt, Craftsman power tools, Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines paints, Scotts lawn care products and Solo Stove firepits.
Peter Jones, general manager, accepted the role for this location in March 2022 after being with the company for 10 years.
