Kansas Christian men's soccer went 2-1 last week with a pair of wins over Faith Baptist Bile College and Manhattan Christian College and a loss to Harris Stowe University. The Falcons are now 5-5 on the season and ranked #6 in the NCCAA Divison II Top 10 Rankings.
In the win over Faith Baptist Bible College, the Falcons outshot their opponent 15-6 in the match on their way to a 2-0 victory. Goals by Ombeni Mubengwa and Roberto Mugabe were the difference. Angel Hernandez and Paul Luwawa each earned assists. It was the first shutout win of the season for the Falcons.
Kansas Christian then played on back to back days with Manhattan Christian College coming to town. The Falcons again outshot their opponent this time by a 21-11 margin. Roberto Mugabe scored for the second consecutive game while Fred Muganza and Tluang Thang each added goals as well. Assists were logged by Elio Pereira, Riuben Basubeche, and Jesus Hernandez.
In the final game of the week, the men's soccer team fell to NAIA opponent, Harris Stowe University. Harris Stowe got out to a 3-1 lead before the Falcons got a goal from Roberto Mugabe late to keep the game close.
Next up for the Falcons is a match with Calvary Univeristy on Friday, October 7 at 4pm. The game will be played at Swope Soccer Village.
