Winning their third straight game, the Baker men's soccer team defeated Culver-Stockton on Saturday, 3-1.

Baker got things going early as Mo Salas chipped in a pass to Gyorgy Kamaras who finished with his left foot to give Baker a 1-0 lead just four minutes into the game. Later in the first half, Culver-Stockton was able to tie the game, but in the 38th minute, a throw in from Easton Weber went off a Culver defender and into the net, giving Baker a 2-1 lead at halftime.
Late in the second half with Baker still leading 2-1, Baker was awarded a penalty kick and Hunter French finished it just past the keeper, extending Baker's lead to 3-1 late. Baker would hold that lead for the remainder of the game, winning, 3-1.
Baker is now 7-5-2 on the year and 5-2-1 in Heart of America play. They will be back in action on Oct. 19, when they host No. 11 MidAmerica Nazarene at 7:30 p.m., in Baldwin City.
