Wildcats Close Out Season With 4-1 Loss to Missouri Valley in Heart of America Quarterfinals

The Baker women's soccer team finished the 2022 season on Friday afternoon as they fell to Missouri Valley in the Heart of America Conference Tournament Quarterfinals, 4-1.

Baker took a total of four shots in the game, with two of those coming from Melissa Siegel. The Vikings on the other hand took a total of 23 shots with 11 of those shots being on target. Gabby Elliott played all 90 minutes for Baker, making seven saves throughout the game.

Missouri Valley got the scoring going in the 19th minute, scoring to make it 1-0 early in the game. The Vikings then added to their lead in the 34th minute, making it 2-0 moving into the second half.

Missouri Valley was able to add two more goals in the 55th and 57th minutes to stretch their lead to 4-0. In the 88th minute, Melissa Siegel was able to get Baker on the board on a pass from Anna Chieu but didn't have enough time to mount a comeback as the Wildcats fell to the Vikings, 4-1.

Baker finishes the season with a record of 8-8-2 and finished with a record of 4-6-2 in Heart of America play.
