The Kansas Christian women's basketball team earned a 69-63 win over Blackburn College in Illinois this weekend. The win improves the Falcons to 7-1 on the season. It is the second time the Falcons have topped the Beavers this season.
After a tight first quarter, the Falcons pulled away some in the second with a 25-17 advantage. Blackburn cut the deficit to four by the end of the third but the Falcons held on for the victory.
Brendeja Holloman led all scorers with 19 points. She also had eight rebounds. Mikalle Lowry scored 15 points while Danna Wagnon and Ali Warner each had 10. Monique Hunt was the top rebounder with 10.
The women's basketball team will compete again on Saturday at Ozark Christian at 1pm in Joplin, Mo.
