Johnson County accepting public comment on 2022 CAPER and 2024 Needs Assessment | Johnson County - KS

Johnson County is seeking input on the draft of its 2022 Consolidated Annual performance and Evaluation Report and housing, as well as community development needs of low-to-moderate-income residents.

Two public hearings will take place on March 8, 2023 at 2 p.m. in Conference Room 2020, 2nd Floor Suite 2000 of the County Administration Building, 111 Cherry St., Olathe, KS 66062. You will be able to participate in person or virtually via Zoom.

The first public hearing is regarding the Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report for the 2022 calendar year. The second public hearing is regarding community development and housing needs the Community Development Block Grant and HOME Investment Partnerships programs will address in 2024.

The CAPER describes how the CDBG and HOME funds were used to accomplish program objectives in 2022. You can view the draft CAPER online or in person at the Community Development Office, Suite 2000 of the County Administration Building.

You are also welcome to submit comments via mail to the Community Development Coordinator (111 S. Cherry St., Suite 2000, Olathe, KS 66061), phone at 913-715-2245, fax at 913-715-2222 or email at cdbg@jocogov.org.

Instructions for the Zoom meeting will be posted one week prior to the public hearings. If you require special accommodation (i.e., qualified interpreter, hearing assistance, etc.) to participate in the public hearings, please notify the Community Development Coordinator no later than 48 hours prior to the meeting.
