In a recent interview on Lou Dobbs Tonight, U.S. Senator Roger Marshall expressed his strong belief that Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas should be fired immediately. Senator Marshall, who has also called for a vote of No Confidence in Mayorkas, argued that the Secretary has not only broken his oath but has also failed to enforce the law and secure the nation's borders.

According to Senator Marshall, the issue at the southern border is not just an immigration problem but a national security concern. He stated, "Joe Biden wants this problem. They see this issue as an immigration issue. You and I see this as a national security issue." The Senator firmly believes that firing Mayorkas is the only way to address the current crisis effectively.

Highlighting Mayorkas' failures, Senator Marshall pointed out the staggering numbers of individuals who have entered the country illegally during his tenure. "For the 1.7 million 'gotaways' he has let into this country, the 10 million in total [border encounters], we need to fire him for all those reasons," he said. In addition, the Senator accused Mayorkas of breaking the laws and failing to enforce the law of the land.

Senator Marshall also criticized President Joe Biden for his failure to enforce immigration laws and secure the borders. Describing the situation as a "catastrophe" and a "tsunami," he emphasized the urgency of the matter. He referred to the FBI Director's statement that he sees nothing but dangerous, blinking red lights everywhere he looks.

While negotiations are underway to come up with a border law that cannot be easily broken, Senator Marshall expressed doubt that President Biden would give up the parole element. He condemned the use of parole by the administration, claiming that it has allowed 1.5 million people who crossed the border illegally to stay in the country.

The Senator also highlighted the dire consequences of the lax border security. He stated, "Because of this, to your point now, we have cartel satellites set up across Kansas, across every state in the nation. 300,000 people dying have died from fentanyl poisoning, human trafficking on the rise, violence from the drugs."

In conclusion, Senator Roger Marshall's call for the firing of Secretary Mayorkas and his criticism of President Biden's handling of the border crisis highlight the urgent need for stronger border security measures. The Senator's concerns regarding national security and the humanitarian implications of the current situation underscore the gravity of the issue at hand.
