Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. joined Faulkner Focus on Fox News to discuss various pressing issues, including the situation in Israel, President Biden's meeting with Japan's Prime Minister, and the upcoming impeachment articles against Sec. Mayorkas.
Regarding the conflict in Israel, Senator Marshall emphasized the importance of standing with Israel, stating, "Israel’s always been a great friend to the United States. I think people are underestimating how much they’ve contributed to our safety and security as well with their intelligence." He placed blame on Hamas for the escalation of violence, pointing out that "the blood of every person in Gaza is on the hands of Hamas who broke this ceasefire, who started this war."
Discussing President Biden's meeting with the Japanese Prime Minister, Senator Marshall highlighted the strong partnership between the two countries, stating, "Japan has been a great partner to the United States." He underscored the significance of the economic and strategic ties between the U.S. and Japan, noting Japan's role as a major investor and holder of U.S. national debt.
On the topic of the anticipated impeachment trial of Sec. Mayorkas, Senator Marshall expressed his concerns about Democrat Senate Leadership's reluctance to proceed with the trial, stating, "Chuck Schumer’s not going to allow an impeachment trial." He emphasized the need to address the crisis at the border and hold individuals accountable, mentioning the impact on families affected by issues such as fentanyl poisoning.
Senator Marshall concluded by warning against blocking the impeachment trial, stating, "If you vote to table this, that’s telling Laken Riley’s family, we don’t care about you. We don’t care about her loss of life." He highlighted the importance of addressing the challenges faced by border states and the broader implications of inaction on critical issues.
