U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D., recently joined the National Report on Newsmax to discuss his legislation, the End Aerial Invasion Act, and his recent op-ed addressing migrants using the CBP One app as valid forms of identification at airports.
In his interview, Senator Marshall highlighted concerns about the Biden administration's parole program which has seen 400,000 people from countries such as Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela enter the U.S. He expressed skepticism about the ability to vet these individuals effectively due to their countries of origin.
"Joe Biden has sent 400,000 people through this parole program, which uses the CBP One app. So he’s brought in 400,000 people from Cuba, from Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela - not exactly places that we can go in and vet these folks. It’s not like you can go to Haiti and get an FBI report on these folks that they’re sending us," said Senator Marshall.
He also voiced concern over airlines allowing passengers to use the CBP One app as a form of identification to board flights. According to him, this could potentially endanger Americans.
"What we’re doing is saying if you’re an airline and you’re allowing them to use this CBP One app as a form of identification to get on an airline and endanger Americans then we’re not going to let you fly into DCA," he stated. "Congress has the authority to determine who flies in and out of Washington D.C.-Reagan airport. It’s that simple."
Senator Marshall believes that both TSA and airlines share responsibility for allowing these individuals onto flights with American citizens.
"I think the TSA and the airlines share responsibility that they’re letting these 400,000 people potentially get on an airline with you and your family," he noted.
Furthermore, he warned airlines that if they continue permitting such practices they would be barred from operating at Reagan airport.
"If you’re an airline, and you allow this to happen, then we’re not going to let you fly into Reagan airport anymore. It’s the only airport that Congress has such reaching jurisdiction, so we can control who comes in and out of Reagan airport here," he said.
Finally, Senator Marshall highlighted that American taxpayers are funding these flights from foreign countries into America.
"Your taxpayer dollars are paying for these people’s flights from these countries into America. 400,000 people, 1.6 million people on the waiting list," he concluded.
