U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D., released a statement following the resignation of U.S. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle. The resignation comes in the wake of significant security lapses that nearly resulted in the death of President Trump and led to the death of Corey Comperatore.

"Cheatle’s resignation is only step one of cleaning house. Everyone who is involved in the oversight and massive failures that left President Trump within centimeters of losing his life and killed an American hero, Corey Comperatore, should follow suit immediately," Senator Marshall stated. "We will not stop demanding accountability for what happened that day."
