Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Roger Marshall joined Varney & Company on Fox Business to discuss Israel's elimination of two terrorist leaders and the escalating tensions in the Middle East, attributing these issues to the Biden-Harris Administration’s foreign policy approach. Senator Marshall also addressed Google's suppression of search results related to an assassination attempt against President Trump and criticized the Democrats' electric car mandates.
During the interview, Senator Marshall commented on Middle East tensions: "This is what happens when Joe Biden and Kamala Harris give us war through weakness, and there you hear the comments of the Vice President right now, how she cut the legs out from under Prime Minister Netanyahu on his peace plan as well."
Referring to an attack by Hamas, he stated: “This really goes back to October 7th – October 7th doesn’t happen if we have a strong leader in the White House. Why does October 7th happen, the Hamas attack? It happens because Iran has the money, the funding and the whereabouts to train Hamas.”
Senator Marshall emphasized that under President Trump, Iran had limited financial resources but now has $80 billion available under Biden and Harris. He argued that this financial empowerment is causing regional instability.
He further criticized Vice President Harris's political strategy: “Her comments are catering to a political coalition in Michigan, Minnesota, which are very critical to her election, so she’s putting her election ahead of national security.”
On Israel's actions against Hezbollah in Beirut, Lebanon: “America needs to stand beside Israel. Israel has every right to defend themselves... The person that Israel took out in Hezbollah was involved in the murder of about 243 American Marines in 1983.”
Regarding Google’s handling of information about an assassination attempt on President Trump, Marshall stated: “If Google wants to be MSNBC, then they need to lose their protection on [Section] 230... They’re not supposed to be a censor.” He added that Google's actions amount to "election interference" by suppressing positive views of President Trump.
Discussing electric car mandates imposed by Democrats, Marshall remarked: “Electric cars are actually coal-powered and natural gas cars... These mandates by the federal government actually help China and they hurt American car companies and workers.” He noted that reliance on battery technology primarily benefits Chinese mining operations.
Marshall also highlighted fiscal concerns regarding infrastructure funding: “The Highway Trust is going broke right now; electric cars are not paying their fair share... which actually is how we rebuild our roads and bridges.”
