U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D., and Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) have called for increased protective resources for President Donald Trump following a second assassination attempt in West Palm Beach, Florida, on September 15th.

In a letter addressed to acting Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe, the senators demand that President Trump receive the same level of protection as President Biden and Vice President Harris. They also seek explanations for the perceived inadequacies in the allocation of security resources to President Trump's detail.

This recent incident marks the second failed attempt on President Trump's life within two months. The Secret Service has yet to address security lapses related to an earlier incident in Butler County, PA, on July 13th. No personnel changes have been made in response to these events.

Senator Marshall's letter is co-signed by Senators Tommy Tuberville (R-AL), James Risch (R-ID), Mike Lee (R-UT), Marco Rubio (R-FL), Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA), Rick Scott (R-FL), and Bill Hagerty (R-TN).
