U.S. Senator Roger Marshall appeared on Fox Business's "The Bottom Line" to discuss the prospects for President Trump's cabinet nominations and the Republican Party's support for his policies. Marshall highlighted the anticipated benefits of Trump's policies for American workers, emphasizing a focus on job creation and manufacturing within the United States.

Marshall stated that "American workers sent a clear message on November 5th that the Democrat Party left them behind," noting support from figures like International Brotherhood of Teamsters President Sean O’Brien, who sees Trump and Marshall as advocates for prioritizing American workers. According to Marshall, Trump's platform aims to enhance safety, expand jobs across union and non-union sectors, and reduce living costs.

Discussing cabinet confirmations in the Senate, Marshall expressed confidence: “I think many of these should sail right through,” citing nominees such as Marco Rubio, Elise Stefanik, Tulsi Gabbard, and Kristi Noem. He praised Majority Leader John Thune’s commitment to expediting hearings: “He’s promised to work extra hours...so let’s get to it.”

On policy matters, Marshall criticized former President Biden's impact on workers: “Joe Biden’s policies crushed all American workers.” He underscored Trump’s commitment to energy policies and tariffs aimed at protecting jobs. “Those are going to grow union jobs,” he said.

Addressing issues pertinent to union workers, Marshall identified cost-of-living concerns as paramount. He also mentioned specific legislative efforts with JD Vance aimed at safeguarding railway union workers from toxic chemicals.

Marshall reiterated shared goals between Republicans and Trump: securing borders, reducing gas prices, rolling back regulations. "We’re ready to get to work – we’re already working on it," he concluded.
