U.S. Senator Roger Marshall hosted a panel in Washington, D.C., addressing concerns about the impact of gender-affirming care on children and discussing potential legislative measures. The event focused on what participants described as the "transgender industrial complex" and its implications for minors.

Senator Marshall emphasized his commitment to children's health, stating, "I dedicated my career as a physician to the health and well-being of the next generation. Never would I have imagined I’d have to fight harder in the halls of Congress to help save our children than I did in the delivery room." He announced plans for an upcoming bill aimed at restricting gender-affirming care for minors and imposing penalties on physicians involved in such practices.

The panel included notable figures such as Senator Tommy Tuberville, Congresswoman Mary Miller, Paula Scanlan from Independent Women’s Voice, Terry Schilling of the American Principles Project, and Sarah Parshall Perry from the Heritage Foundation.

Terry Schilling expressed support for collaborative efforts with Senator Marshall: “We’re grateful to be able to collaborate with Senator Marshall on an important event like this. Earlier this month, the American people gave the Republican Party a mandate to protect children from the predatory transgender industry."

Senator Tuberville criticized current practices, stating, “We all know by now that so-called ‘gender-affirming care’ is anything but caring... This isn’t about politics — this is about good and evil."

Representative Mary Miller shared her perspective on recent years' developments: “The last four years have been nothing short of disastrous as vulnerable children have been maimed for life..."

Paula Scanlan highlighted issues related to women's sports and privacy: “It is so important to discuss the dangers of radical gender ideology... Conversations like the one we had today are essential for advancing legislative solutions that uphold women’s privacy..."

Sarah Parshall Perry discussed identity politics' influence on culture: “American culture has fallen victim to a form of identity politics not seen before thanks to the rapid expansion of the call to advance so-called ‘transgender rights.’"

The discussion underscores ongoing debates regarding gender identity policies and their effects on various communities.
