In a tweet posted at 11:25 AM UTC, Rep. Davids expressed her opposition to a budget bill that she describes as partisan. She stated, "My statement after voting against a partisan budget bill that raises costs on health care and groceries for hardworking families, all to benefit billionaires."
Later in the day at 6:24 PM UTC, she addressed an antisemitic incident outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington D.C., saying "My statement on last night's antisemitic attack outside of the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C."
At 7:38 PM UTC, Rep. Davids commented on efforts by federal Republicans regarding KanCare, which is Kansas' Medicaid program. She noted her concern over potential impacts to constituents within her district by stating "Federal Republicans want to gut KanCare. That would hurt 16,000 people in #KS03 alone. I’m fighting back."
Sharice Davids has been serving since replacing Kevin Yoder in 2019 and resides in Roeland Park. Born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980 and now aged 42, she holds degrees from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and Cornell University.
