On Friday, Feb. 14, former Blue Valley West High School standout Jake Sawyer’s current college team, the William Jewell Cardinals, won 3-2 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Arkansas–Fort Smith Lions.

The game took place at Crowder Field. This was their first matchup against the Lions this season.

The Cardinals’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 14 at 3:45 p.m. at Crowder Field against Arkansas–Fort Smith Lions.
