Rep. Sharice Davids, who has represented Kansas’ 3rd district in the U.S. Congress since 2019, recently addressed key issues facing her constituents through a series of posts on social media.

On July 18, 2025, Davids expressed concern about the impact of staffing reductions on public safety during severe weather events. She stated, "Kansans need dependable information when severe weather strikes, but staffing cuts are putting their safety at risk."

The following day, July 19, she highlighted the importance of manufacturing for both economic and national security. In her words: "Strong manufacturing means stronger national security, supply chains, and paychecks. I'm working to protect the programs that keep Kansas businesses growing."

Later on July 19, Davids turned her attention to water infrastructure. She wrote: "Clean water should be guaranteed, not gambled. I helped pass the bipartisan infrastructure law to replace lead pipes and bring clean, safe water to Kansas communities."

Davids was born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980 and currently resides in Roeland Park. She holds a BA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a JD from Cornell University. Since taking office in 2019 after replacing Kevin Yoder as representative for Kansas’s 3rd District, she has focused on issues such as public safety during extreme weather events, support for local manufacturing industries, and improvements to critical infrastructure like water systems.
