Rep. Sharice Davids, who represents Kansas’ 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on July 20 and 21 regarding legislative efforts aimed at improving emergency alert systems, addressing gas prices, and supporting local agriculture.

On July 20, Davids highlighted her initiative to improve severe weather alerts for Kansans: "When severe weather hits, Kansans need to know fast. I introduced a bill to upgrade our alert systems — because every second counts." (Posted July 20, 2025)

Later that day, she addressed concerns about fuel costs and industry practices: "Big Oil’s profits shouldn’t come at the expense of Kansas families. I voted to stop price gouging at the gas pump and put money back where it belongs — your wallet." (Posted July 20, 2025)

On July 21, Davids discussed rising grocery costs and her work on agricultural policy: "Rising grocery costs are hitting families hard. I’m working on a bipartisan Farm Bill to help Kansas farmers grow food more efficiently — and bring down prices at checkout." (Posted July 21, 2025)

Sharice Davids has represented Kansas’s 3rd District in Congress since replacing Kevin Yoder in 2019. Born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980, she resides in Roeland Park. Davids holds a BA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a JD from Cornell University.
