Rep. Sharice Davids, who represents Kansas’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, recently used her social media platform to highlight local business innovation and advocate for continued support of Social Security and affordable health care.

On August 14, 2025, Davids visited a Louisburg workshop and shared her experience with constituents: "In Louisburg, the team at KRS is turning innovative ideas into real products — right from their workshop. Thanks for showing me around your operation!"

Later that day, she addressed concerns about Social Security’s future in another post: "For 90 years, seniors have paid into Social Security. Now, extreme politicians are threatening it. I’m working to protect and strengthen Social Security so it’s there for generations to come. See how" The message underscores her commitment to safeguarding benefits for retirees amid ongoing policy debates.

On August 15, 2025, Davids commented on potential increases in health insurance costs if certain tax credits expire: "Folks could soon pay 75% more for ACA premiums — $708 a year in KS — because Congressional Republicans are letting vital tax credits expire. I’m working to make these savings permanent and keep health care affordable."

Davids has served as a member of Congress since replacing Kevin Yoder in 2019 and currently resides in Roeland Park. Born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980, she holds a BA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a JD from Cornell University.
