U.S. Representative Sharice Davids, who serves Kansas’ 3rd district in Congress, has recently highlighted several initiatives on her social media accounts related to historic preservation, support for tribal colleges, and disaster preparedness.

On September 8, 2025, Davids announced the release of funding for Freedom’s Frontier National Heritage Area, stating: "After months of delay, investment for Freedom’s Frontier is finally released — ensuring historic sites across KS & MO can keep telling our shared story of freedom and resilience. I joined @repcleaver to help get this done."

The following day, she expressed support for tribal educational institutions: "Tribal colleges and universities drive culture, opportunity, and $3.8B in economic impact. Proud to stand with their leaders today to keep lifting up Native communities." This statement reflects ongoing efforts to highlight the role of tribal colleges in both cultural preservation and economic development.

Later on September 9, Davids addressed concerns about severe weather preparedness in Kansas: "Kansas families deserve the security of knowing they're prepared when a storm hits. I'm working with my Kansas Republican colleagues to advocate for your best interests when severe weather strikes."

Sharice Davids has represented Kansas's 3rd District since 2019 after succeeding Kevin Yoder. She was born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980 and currently resides in Roeland Park at age 42. Her academic background includes a BA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (2007) and a JD from Cornell University (2010).
