U.S. Representative Sharice Davids, who represents Kansas’s 3rd district in Congress, has addressed several issues impacting her constituents in a series of recent social media posts.

On September 16, Davids highlighted concerns over potential increases in health care costs for Kansans if provisions from the Affordable Care Act (ACA) are not extended. She wrote, "Thousands of Kansans will see their health care costs skyrocket if ACA savings expire this year. With government funding running out Sept 30, I’m calling on congressional leaders to extend these tax credits in any funding bill."

The following day, Davids invited residents to participate in an event designed for direct communication with her office. On September 17 she posted, " Tonight at 6 PM CT! Join my Call With Your Congresswoman to hear updates from D.C. and ask me your questions live from your couch. RSVP here to get the call: https://t.co/4UNi5weFs5"

Later that same day, Davids turned attention to agricultural issues affecting Kansas farmers. In her post she stated, "Kansas farmers keep food on our tables. But without access to credit, many can’t afford seeds, equipment, or keep their farms running. I’m working to strengthen @farmcredit — so producers can keep feeding families here in Kansas and around the world."

Sharice Davids has represented Kansas’s 3rd District since 2019 after succeeding Kevin Yoder. She was born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980 and currently resides in Roeland Park. Her academic background includes a BA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a JD from Cornell University.
