Rep. Sharice Davids, who represents Kansas’ 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, used her social media platform to highlight her legislative priorities in late September 2025.

On September 23, Davids posted about her role on the House Agriculture Committee: "Agriculture is the backbone of Kansas’ economy. That’s why I’m on the @HouseAgDems Committee — to make sure our farmers, ranchers, and producers have the tools they need to succeed for generations to come."

The following day, she addressed housing affordability concerns: "All Kansans deserve a safe, affordable place to call home. I’m backing legislation to lower housing costs and expand access — because every family should be able to find housing that fits their budget." Later that same day, she criticized Speaker Johnson's decision regarding House votes: ".@SpeakerJohnson canceled House votes just days before the shutdown deadline. Kansans can’t afford political games. I’m urging him to start bipartisan negotiations now — to keep the government open, protect health care, and put families over partisanship."

Davids has represented Kansas’s 3rd District since 2019 after succeeding Kevin Yoder. She was born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980 and currently resides in Roeland Park at age 42. Davids holds a BA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (2007) and a JD from Cornell University (2010).
