Cost of college went up for all students at the Z Hair Academy

Tuition and fees rose 5 percent for 2018-19 at the Z Hair Academy, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Kansas students paid $15,750 to attend the private for-profit school this year – $750 more than the $15,000 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 91 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 56 students received grants or scholarships totaling $232,140 and 66 students took out student loans totaling more than $457,787.

Including all undergraduates (167), 155 students used grants or scholarships totaling $705,849, and 160 students took out $1.4 million in federal student loans.
