U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D., appeared on Fox Business's "Kudlow" to express his views on former President Donald Trump's conviction, calling it "the most egregious miscarriage of justice our nation has ever seen." Marshall emphasized that the true verdict will be determined at the ballot box in November.
Marshall also participated in a letter to Senate Democrat Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, warning that a growing majority of Senate Republicans plan to block President Biden’s judicial nominations and impede Democratic legislative efforts.
In his interview, Marshall stated: “I think the folks back home have never been more fired up. Think about this, the Democrats gave Donald Trump their very, very best shot. We woke up this morning, and Donald Trump is up a touchdown. He’s up six points. He raised $34 million overnight. That’s a million dollars for every false charge. And the folks back home realize that November fifth is the day that matters. November fifth is the day of the verdict.”
He continued by saying: “I think the Republican Party has become the party of hard-working Americans, people that carry their lunch pails to work, people that have small businesses as well. And those people are very upset right now to see our Justice Department weaponized – and they are excited, they’re going to get out to vote.”
Reflecting on Trump's resilience, Marshall remarked: “Look, Americans love an underdog. They love a fighter. They love someone that gets up off the mat after they’ve been knocked down…This is why Americans love Donald Trump. He’s the comeback kid. He got kicked pretty hard last night, but he’s back up today. He’s fighting.”
Regarding efforts to halt President Biden's agenda in the Senate, Marshall stated: “Remember, it takes 60 votes in the Senate to do anything. So all we need is three more and we make a grinding halt to everything. Look, Joe Biden has crossed the line with this weaponization of his judicial system. We’re going to stand up; we’re going to grind this government down to halt as best we can, try to slow down this Biden agenda in every place we can.”
