U.S. Senator Roger Marshall has expressed support for McDonald’s recent commitment to invest $200 million in regenerative practices on U.S. cattle ranches. The initiative aims to conserve water and improve soil health, while reducing reliance on synthetic chemicals and fertilizers.
“It is great to see such a large and influential company like McDonald’s invest $200 million in regenerative farming,” said Senator Marshall. “I have continued to emphasize that the bridge between MAHA and agriculture is soil health. Producing nutrient-dense foods begins with healthy soil, and I am thrilled to see this effort happening here on American soil.”
In July, Senator Marshall organized a roundtable that included Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Department of Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins, as well as farmers, ranchers, and agricultural experts from across the nation. The discussion focused on how regenerative farming practices can link the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) movement with agricultural efforts.
The most recent MAHA report, released on September 9, 2025, highlights the importance of soil health in addressing childhood chronic diseases and improving public health outcomes. The report also recommends promoting regenerative agriculture methods for better soil quality.
