U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D., has issued a statement following Google's response to his inquiry regarding the suppression of search terms related to the assassination attempt on President Trump on July 13. Google defended its actions by classifying the shooting as a "hypothetical act of political violence" for two weeks after the incident in Butler, Pennsylvania.

"Google is now openly admitting that they were blocking and eliminating search prompts regarding the assassination attempt on President Trump," stated Senator Marshall. "Most shocking is their bizarre written defense that Trump’s assassination attempt was a ‘hypothetical act of political violence’ even up to the point of our public inquiry on July 28th."

Senator Marshall accused Google of being "a monopolistic agent of propaganda for the globalist Left" and demanded that top executives testify under oath before the Senate Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs Committee. "Under oath, they won’t be able to hide behind an algorithm or get away with corporate double-speak," he continued. "We are launching a full investigation into Google’s litany of offenses, time for accountability and consequence."

The senator is calling for a comprehensive investigation and insists that Google's leadership address their alleged bias and history of discrimination against conservative viewpoints before the Senate committee.
