Rep. Sharice Davids, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Kansas' 3rd district since 2019, shared several updates through her social media platform recently. Her posts covered a range of topics including federal grants for Kansas, recognition of local police officers, and preparations for the upcoming World Cup.

On December 3, 2024, Rep. Davids announced significant developments for Kansas resulting from a bipartisan infrastructure law she helped pass. "Big news for Kansas! Thanks to the bipartisan infrastructure law I helped pass, @Interior just awarded Kansas a federal grant to clean up abandoned mines." She highlighted that this initiative would lead to safer communities and more employment opportunities within the state.

The following day, on December 4, 2024, Rep. Davids extended her congratulations to two officers from Overland Park Police Department who received national recognition. "Congratulations to @OverlandPark_PD Officers Griffith & Koehn for receiving the Attorney General’s Award for Distinguished Service in Policing, a national recognition of their commitment to keeping our communities safe!" She praised their dedication to maintaining safety in the community.

On December 5, 2024, Rep. Davids discussed ongoing preparations for the 2026 World Cup with Pam Kramer, CEO of FWC26KansasCity. "As the Kansas City region continues preparing for the 2026 World Cup, I met with @FWC26KansasCity CEO Pam Kramer to discuss how we can continue working together to ensure visitors from around the world see all that the KC region has to offer." This meeting was part of efforts to showcase what Kansas City has available for international visitors during this major event.
