U.S. Senator Roger Marshall met with Linda McMahon, the nominee for Secretary of Education under President Donald Trump. Following their meeting, Senator Marshall expressed his strong support for McMahon's nomination.
"Linda McMahon will be a phenomenal Secretary of Education," stated Senator Marshall. "She will prioritize outcomes for our students and empower parents across America. Her leadership will mark a significant step toward returning control of education to the states as President Trump has called for. We have much to do to undo the damage caused over these last few years, and McMahon is the leader for the job."
Senator Marshall also praised McMahon's previous accomplishments, saying, "Linda is a steadfast advocate for parents’ rights, a proven business leader, and successfully led the Small Business Administration to new heights during President Trump’s first administration. I was honored to meet with Linda today- she has my full support."
The nomination of Linda McMahon comes as part of ongoing efforts by the administration to implement changes in education policy.
