U.S. Senator Roger Marshall appeared on Newsmax to discuss his meetings with nominees for President Trump's cabinet positions. In a recent interview, Senator Marshall shared his favorable view of the nominees and expressed confidence in their potential confirmation by the Senate.

Senator Marshall highlighted Pete Hegseth's nomination for Secretary of Defense, stating, "Pete Hegseth is going to be a transformative Secretary of Defense. He’s got the charisma, the personality, the leadership skills, the communication skills, to make our military great again." He also noted Hegseth's ability to connect with military personnel, referencing a meeting between Hegseth and his son who recently returned from overseas service.

Marshall has not yet met with nominee Tulsi Gabbard but expressed positive expectations based on their past interactions in Congress. "I think she’s a person that’s very caring," he said. "She’s well informed, and she’s going to support the President’s agenda."

He praised the diversity among Trump’s nominees: "This is an all-star group that President Trump has nominated – I love the diversity of their experiences." He mentioned upcoming meetings with Kristi Noem and reflected on discussions with Linda McMahon and Brooke Rollins. Of Rollins, he said she impressed him with her dedication to rural America and agriculture.

Marshall expressed strong support for Kristi Noem as well: "She understands who we’re fighting for…I know Kristi; she’s gonna be locked in on securing that border."

The senator conveyed optimism about these candidates contributing effectively to national security and other key areas if confirmed.
