U.S. Senator Roger Marshall met with Doug Collins, President Donald Trump's nominee for the position of U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary. Following their meeting, Senator Marshall released a statement expressing his support for Collins.
"Caring for our nation’s military heroes after their service is essential," stated Senator Marshall. He emphasized that as a veteran himself, Collins is well-suited to lead the VA and understands its critical mission. "I’m confident he will execute President Trump’s vision of providing veterans and their families with the support they deserve," added Marshall, affirming his full backing for Collins' nomination.
The meeting took place in Washington, D.C., as part of the nomination process led by President Trump to appoint a new leader for the Department of Veterans Affairs.
