U.S. Senator Roger Marshall met with Russell Vought, the nominee for Director of the Office of Management and Budget under President Donald Trump. Following their meeting, Senator Marshall expressed confidence in Vought's ability to contribute to federal government efficiency and deregulation.

"We have to get our fiscal house in order," stated Senator Marshall. He emphasized the importance of Vought's experience and knowledge in achieving these goals. "I trust that OMB Director Russ Vought’s knowledge and experience will be indispensable for achieving President Trump’s goals of federal government efficiency and deregulation."

Senator Marshall acknowledged the challenges ahead for Vought but expressed optimism about his capabilities. "He certainly has his work cut out for him, but he will do a great job," he said.

The senator also highlighted his eagerness to collaborate with Vought on addressing budgetary issues in Washington D.C., which he described as a broken system that has become standard practice. "I look forward to working with him to fix our broken budget system that has become the status quo in Washington D.C."
