U.S. Senator Roger Marshall has met with Scott Bessent, the nominee for Secretary of the Treasury put forward by President Donald Trump. Following their meeting, Senator Marshall released a statement expressing his support for Bessent's nomination.
"Scott Bessent’s extensive business experience and pro-growth policies make him the right choice to revive and strengthen the economy for all Americans," stated Senator Marshall. He further added that as Secretary of the Treasury, Bessent "will champion President Trump’s America First economic agenda."
Senator Marshall also expressed his eagerness to collaborate with Bessent on the Finance Committee to facilitate his success if confirmed.
