U.S. Senator Roger Marshall appeared on Fox Business' "The Evening Edit" to discuss Republican efforts in Congress to advance President Trump's agenda. A key focus of the discussion was securing the border, which is a top priority for President Trump and central to the reconciliation bills being worked on by House and Senate Republicans.

Senator Marshall also highlighted bipartisan support for the Laken Riley Act, a piece of legislation he reintroduced with his Republican colleagues in the 119th Congress. He noted that Senate Democrats are now voicing their support for this act.

During the interview, Senator Marshall expressed eagerness to collaborate with President Trump, stating, “I can’t wait to sit down with President Trump. We’re ready to roll up our sleeves. I think we’re ready to enact it now – that we’ve been working on these issues now for over a year, and we’re ready to deliver on them.”

He emphasized the importance of unity between the House and Senate: “I think that the House, the Senate – we agree on the same goals…Whether it’s one bill or two bills, the important thing is to get it across the finish line."

Regarding bipartisan support for safety legislation, Marshall remarked, “I think that they’re [Democrats] finally listening to the American people, that their number one concern, despite inflation, is the safety and security of their families."

On President Trump's broader agenda, Senator Marshall said: “I think that the President is practicing the art of the deal. He’s listening to both sides... I know that Chairman Crapo is over there working hard in the Senate Finance Committee. I know that Chairman Smith over on the House Ways and Means is working hard to get the tax part together."
